Libyan regime suffers another high-level defection
NBC News — Another apparent high level defection from Moammar Khaddafy's regime to report. Libyan Interior Minister Nassr Al-Mabrouk Abdullah and nine of his family members flew into Cairo monday on a private plane.
If it is a defection, it would be the highest level defection from Khaddafy's government in recent months. It comes just days after Libya's rebels made their biggest advances in months towards the capital, Tripoli. Rebels have taken control of a town just 30 miles west of Tripoli, enabling them to keep supplies from Tunisia from reaching the city.
