Leon Panetta makes first trip to Iraq as Defense Secretary
NBC News — Newly appointed Defense Secretary Leon Panetta arrived in Iraq sunday, his first trip there since taking office. Panetta arrived in the country after a trip to Afghanistan. The former CIA Director is scheduled to meet with Iraqi government officials, he is expected to discuss with them President Obama's draw down in the country.
The United States is scheduled to withdraw all its remaining 46 thousand troops from Iraq by the end of this year. Panetta also met with troops and thanked them for a job well done.
