Late North Korean leader's son claims regime near collapse
NBC News — A new book claims that the oldest son of North Korea's late leader Kim Jong Il believes the impoverished regime is in danger of collapse. In the book, titled "My father, Kim Jong Il, and Me," the oldest son allegedly claims that his young half-brother is merely a figurehead of the communist state.
Kim Jong Un was immediately named his father's successor following his death. The book immediately drew attention from critics who are calling it a rare view into the family that has led the secretive country for decades.
