Jury debates the case against John Edwards

The fate of former presidential candidate John Edwards is in the hands of the jury.

On Friday the jury started weighing all the evidence presented during 17 days of testimony.

Shortly after beginning deliberations the eight men and four women asked to review several exhibits.

They concern the more than $700,000 provided by heiress Rachel "Bunny" Mellon.

Jurors also asked for office supplies, a blackboard and a master list of all of the exhibits in the case.

Edwards is charged with six criminal counts including conspiracy to violate federal election
campaign laws.

If convicted he could be sentenced to as much as 30 years in prison.
