Joint U.S. and South Korean military exercises continue
NBC News — Massive, large scale military exercises continue to be held in South Korea. Pictures provided by South Korea's military shows a military drill held last friday along South Korea's disputed maritime border with the north.
Around 140,000 soldiers, including some 500 U.S. sailors and marines are participating in the nine exercises which started last thursday. On saturday North Korea denounced the on going military drills, calling them quote "a very dangerous preliminary war for invasion." North Korea also demanded that the south halt the drills immediately or face catastrophic consequences.
