Israeli military hits targets in Gaza
NBC News — Israel carried out a series of air strikes against targets in the Gaza Strip thursday after Palestinian militants fired rockets into southern Israel. No casualties were reported.
The Israeli army added in its statement that the targets of the overnight raid were two terror activity sites in northern Gaza and a smuggling tunnel that links the Palestinian territory with Egypt. The strikes severely damaged equipment and buildings within the area. The tunnels in Gaza are often used to smuggle goods and weapons into the territory.
