Israeli Defense Minister confident about change in Syria
NBC News — Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said monday he is confident that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad will be overthrown. Israel shares a border with Syria.
Already hit by economic sanctions imposed by the United States and Europe, Syria was hit last month by its neighbors when sanctions were announced by the Arab League and Turkey. According to the United Nations, more than 4000 people have died since protests broke out in March against the Assad family's 41 year rule.
