Iraqi Prime Minister's visit to U.S. getting mixed reaction
NBC News — Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki's visit to Washington is receiving mixed reactions back home. The Prime Minister's joint press conference with President Barack Obama was front page news tuesday in Baghdad. Al-Maliki's visit comes as U.S. troops are winding down their deployment in Iraq.
The last remaining U.S. troops are scheduled to leave by the end of the month. Despite this, the U.S. will maintain a large diplomatic presence in the country. Some 16,000 embassy workers are expected to stay in the country.
