Indianapolis Police officers using stun gun on naked man downtown

NATIONAL NEWS (CNN) — A new video that surfaced this week captures officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department using a stun gun in an attempt to detain a naked man Downtown.
The incident occurred in the early morning hours of May 20, but the video was just recently posted on YouTube.
According to the police report, the officers were dispatched to the area of Delaware Street and Massachusetts Avenue on a report of a male walking in the middle of the street and yelling at passing vehicles.
When the officers arrived to the scene, they noted seeing the naked man punch several people. According to the report, the man approached an officer, and out of fear of being attacked, the officer said he used a stun gun to try to subdue the suspect.
However, police said the stun gun had no effect on the man, and he continued to resist officers. The police report stated the naked man pushed a female officer into a building, causing her to fall and sustain injury to her elbow, knee and finger.
As another officer attempted to detain the man, the suspect reportedly punched that officer in the face several times while being handcuffed.
Once the man was apprehended, he was transported to Wishard Hospital. According to the police report, the man told police he used synthetic marijuana, known as Spice, earlier in the evening.
The man was arrested and charged with battery, resisting law enforcement and public indecency.
