Hollywood director dead, jumps off bridge

Producer-Director Tony Scott has died and police believe it was suicide.

Scott directed such Blockbusters as "Top Gun," "Beverly Hills Cop II," and "Days of Thunder." More recently he directed Denzel Washington in "Unstoppable" and "The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3."

Police say Scott jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon. His car was parked on the bridge and contained a note.

Tony Scott and his brother Ridley Scott are executive producers of the TV drama "the good wife."

Scott was 68 years old.
