NBC News — Greeks have decided to back a new parliament in favor of staying in the European Union. Conservative candidate Antonis Samaras will become the nation's new prime minister, he is now tasked with forming a coalition government. Pro-bailout parties won enough seats to form a joint government, calming fears of an imminent Greek exit from the European Union.
This weekend's election follows weeks of political chaos in the country. This is the second national election in a little more than a month. A similar vote early in May produced a hung parliament.
