GRAPHIC WARNING: Weslaco mother charged in allegedly burning of son's hand

A Weslaco mother is behind bars after she allegedly put her 2-year-old son's hand on a hot stove.

Claudia Ponce of the Weslaco area faced in Hidalgo County judge Friday morning, she is being charged for intentionally or knowingly causing serious bodily injury to her 2-year-old son.

Authorities say she placed her child's hands over a hot burning stove.

Deputies say she called authorities for help claiming her two year old son was burned by grabbing a hot pot of soup. However, when deputies arrived they observed severe burns on the two-year-old. They requested EMS transportation to Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.

Later the two-year-old was flown to Shriner Burn Center in Galveston.

Ponce was arraigned in court Friday, here bond was set at $500,000.

This is so sick this woman needs to be burned herself to see how her son who loved her feels. God bless this baby and he will punish this mother(if we must call her that) in the end!!!!!
