NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A grand jury has indicted three men charged with plotting to attack a Chicago police station with a Molotov cocktail during the recent NATO Summit.
Brent Betterly, Brian Church and Jared Chase are charged with conspiracy to commit terrorism, possession of an explosive or incendiary device and providing material support.
Police arrested the men three days before the NATO Summit last month.
The officers found Molotov cocktails and instructions to make pipe bombs, according to authorities.
At a court appearance last month the trio's lawyers complained the men were being kept in isolation, saying they were suffering from "sensory deprivation."
Occupy Chicago activists said Tuesday they plan to demonstrate their support for the three men by filling the courtroom and organizing a campaign to convince officials to drop the charges.
