French President Nicolas Sarkozy held an emergency cabinet meeting wednesday to discuss the economy. France's Foreign Minister, Finance Minister and Prime Minister were among the leaders to arrive for talks. Central Bank Governor Christian Noyer was also there.

French markets have been hard hit in the sell off over the past two and a half weeks. France is the most indebted of the Euro Zone's six Triple A rated countries. France's CAC-40 stock index has fallen up to 23% since July 22nd but started to rebound late tuesday. Standard & Poor's says the outlook in France looks stable and has reaffirmed the country's Triple A rating.
