Former British prime minister to appear before ethics committee
NBC News — Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will appear before a government inquiry into media standards monday. Blair is expected to be grilled by lawmakers for his close ties to media magnate Rupert Murdoch while he was in office.
The inquiry was set up by the British government in the wake of scandals involving phone-hacking of celebrities, murder victims and soldiers killed in action by one of Rupert Murdoch's newspapers. Among those appearing at the inquiry have been Rupert Murdoch and his son James.
