Five students injured when gunman opens fire in Ohio high school

Federal officials are on the scene of a school shooting in Ohio, near Cleveland.

The FBI believes there was only one gunman and that person is in custody.

“What we know right now is we suspect one gunman and that individual is in custody and we have four students we know have been injured and have been transported to local hospitals," Scott Wilson, FBI, explained.

Five students were injured when the gunman opened fire inside Chardon High School this morning. There’s still no word on their conditions.

"All of our high school students are now safe.,” Joseph Bergant, Superintendent, said. “The person who, the alleged person who did the damage is now in custody and the students are being evacuated from the high school and taken to Maple Elementary school."
