The space shuttle Enterprise reached its final destination today.

The Enterprise made its way through New York Harbor and arrived at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space museum today.

The Enterprise was the first space shuttle ever built by NASA, but it never flew in space. It was used for a series of landing tests in the late 1970’s.

The shuttle will be on public display onboard the Intrepid beginning July 19.
