Egyptian prosecutors seek death penalty for former president
NBC News — The trial of Egypt's former president resumed tuesday. Hosni Mubarak was wheeled into the court on a hospital stretcher surrounded by police.
The prosecution is seeking the death penalty for Mubarak and his former Interior Minister for their role in the killing of protesters during the revolution which toppled them last February. Also on trial are Mubarak's two sons and senior police officers. Mubarak is being held under arrest in a hospital where doctors say he has a heart condition.
