NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A daycare teacher in Fort Worth, Texas is in trouble after piercing a 5-year-old child's ears without her parents' permission.

It happened at a KinderCare on Wednesday.

The child already had pierced ears.

The teacher added a second hole and put adult earrings on her.

The child's mother has removed her children from the daycare.

The KinderCare issued a statement that says:

"The safety and security of the children in our care is our top priority. We take this situation seriously and have reported it to state licensing."
