NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Tornados shut down the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport most of yesterday, Tuesday, April 3.
Several planes were damaged by hail, which led to hundreds of flight cancellations - including here in Baton Rouge.
Half a dozen flights were cancelled from Baton Rouge yesterday. This morning, flights were also cancelled, leaving many stranded.
“I’ve got a wife, I’ve got kids, I’ve got a job - none of us are going to make it to that,” stated passenger Leon Johnson, “so that puts that on hold again. It’s just a lot.”
Passenger Avery Yack had a more positive attitude, “It is what it is, and all you can do is hope the airline can take care of us and get us where we need to be.”
Flights started leaving again for the Dallas-Fort Worth area earlier this afternoon.
