NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Eight people are dead and a ninth person is critically injured after a gunman opens fire at a salon in southern California.

Seal beach police arrested 42-year-old Scott Evans Dekraai on suspicion of murder shortly after the shooting.

Officials have not given a motive for the attack, however, area residents say Dekraai's ex-wife works at the salon.
