NBC News — China monday called Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's denunciation of Beijing's stand on Syria quote "unacceptable." Clinton on friday said the Chinese and Russian veto of a U.N. resolution on Syria was despicable. China's Foreign Ministry replied to the comment, saying that the comment was totally unacceptable.

Clinton had said that the Chinese and Russians were setting themselves not only against the Syrian people, but also the entire Arab awakening. Earlier this month China and Russia used their veto power as permanent members of the U.N. Security Council to block a proposed resolution backing an Arab plan pressing Syria's President Assad to step down.
