NBC News — Australia's media regulator opened a formal inquiry into a prank call to the London hospital where the Duchess of Cambridge was being treated. Two DJs from Sydney radio station 2DayFM made that call.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority will focus on whether the radio station complied with its broadcasting license conditions and commercial radio codes of practice. The nurse who took the phone call was found dead last Friday, December 7th. The DJs have been taken off the air and have expressed regret over the phone call during TV interviews.
