NBC News — An animal rights group in Taiwan is accusing the country's government of covering up bird flu cases. The organization says government officials have been covering up outbreaks over the past two years. The accusation comes after recent reports of outbreaks of the H5N2 virus.
This is just the latest in a string of high level accusations against the Taiwanese government. On saturday the head chief of Taiwan's Bureau of Animal and Plant Health Inspection and Quarantine announced his resignation after confirming reports of highly pathogenic cases of Avian Flu.
