17 firefighters, two civilians injured when Bronx fire causes partial building collapse

More than a dozen New York firefighters were injured battling a blaze when a building partially collapsed.

The multi-family home caught fire Saturday, April 14, in the Bronx.

Seventeen firefighters suffered minor injuries when part of the building started to give way. Two civilians were also hurt.

The flames spread to five surrounding buildings and ten families are now homeless.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
