The LSU Museum of Art may have to close if the legislature passes proposed budget cuts.

The museum has been open nearly 50 years, and officials has drawn in quite the crowd.

Business leaders said the museum attracted an estimated 12,000 people downtown for its recent Rodin Exhibit.

With the funding cuts, officials said, they couldn't keep the facility open.
