Baton Rouge Police are investigating a fatal crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle, that happened Monday night around 8:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Choctaw.

The crash took the life of 34-year-old Travis Castle, of Baker.

According to a police report, the motorcycle and the SUV were both traveling west on Choctaw. The SUV moved to the outside line, at which point the motorcycle slid into the SUV.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 34-year-old female driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

The Traffic Homicide Division is still investigating the crash and asks anyone with information about this case to contact them at 225-389-7819.
