BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The arrest of Jeffery Lee Guillory is the type of closure a mother of one of his alleged victims has been praying for.
Ora Lee Jackson says the slaying of her daughter Sylvia Cobb, 36, has caused her many sleepless nights.
Cobb's body was discovered in July of 2001 in an abandoned building on North Acadian Thruway. Police say she was killed after she was hit over the head.
Jackson says after all these years, her daughter's killer remained a mystery.
Jackson is hoping now that someone has finally been linked to Sylvia's murder along will come answers to questions she's been waiting eight years to ask.
