Mother struggles to keep baby alive after delivering twins on remote Utah highway

A Utah mother is counting her blessings after a dangerous roadside delivery.

Lynette was only 30 weeks along when she went into labor.

She with her friend Jim Gerber in Wendover, Utah when she started having contractions.

Her husband was home in Sandy.

The nearest hospital was more than an hour away.

"We thought we'd make a run for it," Hales says.

Gerber says he drove 95 to 100 miles per hour on interstate 80, but it wasn't fast enough.
