A “known gang member” was arrested after he allegedly pulled a gun on a woman and her adult son. Investigators believe his actions were due to an extreme case of road rage.

The El Paso Police Department responded to the call last week. The victim claimed that she was driving her adult son home from work when a white Chevrolet Trailblazer started driving erratically.

The woman told police that the car began to stop in front of their car. To avoid a confrontation, she allowed the Trailblazer to leave before she continued driving.

"As the victims turned onto another street they observed the same Chevrolet Trailblazer stopped on the roadway,” a representative with the El Paso Police Department told our sister station KTSM. “The victims then observed the driver reach out the window and point a handgun at them."

The victims attempted to drive off, but the man followed them and even sideswiped their car.

Officers identified the suspect as Ismael Fonseca, 20. He was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facilit.
