Sitting in traffic is costing you more than wasted time

NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Sitting in traffic is more than a waste of time. A new survey shows it's a big waste of gas and money.
Americans are wasting nearly 2-billion gallons of gasoline a year while stuck in traffic.
That’s according to a new report from the treasury department.
Also, those drivers who frequently travel through cities with many roads in need of fixing end up spending more than 400 dollars a year extra to patch up their rides.
Before you hit the road, check with NBC33tv.com to find out where those delays are happening so you’ll avoid sitting and wasting your gas, too. Click here to visit the Baton Rouge Traffic section to see real time updates on accidents and delays.
