LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (NBC33) — Livingston Parish is still moving forward with its appeal to FEMA.
That’s to hopefully get reimbursed $54 million for debris clean up contracted after Hurricane Gustav.
Attorney Shelby Easterly will have to get his argument ready by July 31, 2012 to present to the federal agency.
Parish President Layton Ricks says winning this appeal is incredibly important because the parish can't afford to pay back its contractors any other way.
