LOUISIANA (NBC33) — Layoffs are on the way to seven LSU hospitals all across the state.
The move comes as LSU starts to find ways to trim $29 million from the budget. Locally, Earl K. Long Medical Center will be impacted.
Other hospitals include University Medical Center in Lafayette and the LSU Interim Hospital in New Orleans.
No word on how many people at each hospital will be let go. The layoffs could happen as early as March.
