THE FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AT BATON ROUGE.
* UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
* AT 12:00 PM THURSDAY THE STAGE WAS 44.8 FEET.
* MAJOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MAJOR FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 35.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO FLUCTUATE NEAR THE CURRENT
  STAGE OF 44.8 FEET THROUGHOUT THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.
* IMPACT...AT 43.0 FEET...SHIPPING AND INDUSTRIAL ACTIVITIES ARE
  SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECTED. UNPROTECTED LOW-LYING AREAS WILL BE FLOODED
  AND AGRICULTURAL OPERATIONS WILL BE IMPACTED ON THE WEST SIDE OF
  THE RIVER. THE CITY OF BATON ROUGE IS PROTECTED BY LEVEES AT THIS
  LEVEL.
* FORECAST INCLUDES OPERATION OF BONNET CARRE AND MORGANZA.

* AT 11:00 AM THURSDAY THE STAGE WAS 63.0 FEET.
* RECORD FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND RECORD FLOODING IS FORECAST.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 48.0 FEET.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER IS EXPECTED TO SLOWLY CREST AT AROUND 63.1
  FEET BY TOMORROW MORNING AND REMAIN AT OR NEAR THAT STAGE OF 63.1
  FEET OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.
* IMPACT...AT 62.0 FEET...ANGOLA LANDING WILL REMAIN UNDER WATER AND
  ALL FERRY SERVICE WILL BE TERMINATED. ALL RIVER ISLANDS ALONG THE
  REACH FROM RED RIVER LANDING TO BATON ROUGE WILL REMAIN INUNDATED
  WITH RECREATIONAL CAMPS AND RIVER BOTTOM FARM LAND UNDER WATER.
* FORECAST INCLUDES OPERATION OF BONNET CARRE AND MORGANZA.
