BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) James de Brueys will be laid to rest later this week. He's the LSU gradudate who went missing in the Pacific Ocean last Saturday. The U.S. Coast Guard stopped searching for James late last week after his boat was found overturned and crews recovered a body of one of his friends that was with with him.

James' body has not been found yet still the de Brueys have decided to say their final goodbyes to him Thursday.

James' funeral is scheduled for this Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church in Baton Rouge. On Friday friends and family of the de Brueys are hosting a celebration in his honor at the Chimes on Highland Road from 7 to 9 PM. James used to bartend at that restaurant.
