Mircale League hosts game in Baton Rouge
Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — It was a big night on the big stage for the participants in the Miracle League at Cypress Mounds. Truly, Baton Rouge baseball at its best.
It was standing room only for tonight’s matchup between the Braves and the Cardinals in the first ever Miracle League Game in the Capital City.
Ear to ear smiles all around as the players were greeted and coached by LSU Tiger Baseball and Softball players as well as a group of former major leaguers.
The vision started 3 years ago when Brandi Polito, the executive director of the Miracle League, saw the very same idea in Texas.
With a help from others, her vision came to fruition in a big way.
