Man arrested for shooting, paralyzing a man in Port Allen
BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA)--A Baton Rouge man is behind bars after authorities say he shot a man and left him paralyzed.
Sherman Wisham is charged with attempted 2nd degree murder.
West Baton Rouge Sheriff's deputies say they found Wisham walking on the Old Mississippi River Bridge shortly after the October 12th shooting in Port Allen.
Detectives matched a pistol Wisham had on him with the one used in the shooting.
"That same pistol matched by Louisiana State Police crime lab ballistics was the same gun that we found bullet repticals, inside the car of the door," said West Baton Rouge Sheriff Mike Cazes.
Wisham told reporters he's innocent. The victim was shot three times. He's still in a Baton Rouge hospital.
