7:00 p.m. Update: The Baton Rouge Police Department's bomb quad detonated the two suspcious packages on LSU's campus, that were found inside Thomas Boyd Hall. Campus reopened shortly before 6:00 p.m, but an LSU spokesperson said Thomas Boyd Hall will not open until Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing.

4:12 p.m. Update: The BRPD bomb squad is on the scene and a roadblock has been set up. The investigation is currently underway.

ORIGINAL STORY: LSU Police are currently investigating a suspicious package on campus near Thomas Boyd Hall.

The area has been evacuated, and LSUPD is awaiting the Baton Rouge Police Department's bomb squad to assist.
