DENHAM SPRINGS, La (NBC33) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office spent part of their morning chasing and capturing what looks to be a kangaroo.

Deputies got the call around 10:00 Sunday morning. The animal was found loose on Eden Church Road.

After chasing the animal until it got tired, deputies were able to capture the critter.

The animal was taken to Denham Springs Animal Control.
