Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — More than 40 new jobs are on the way to the Capitol City as West Sanitation Services moves from Illinois to Baton Rouge.
West Sanitation moves and distributes odor control products for commercial and institutional restrooms.
The move will bring about 45 direct and indirect jobs. The company's headquarters are also on the move - they'll move from California to Baton Rouge.
“We beat out Texas and other states to get these jobs,” stated Governor Bobby Jindal. “This is yet another corporation moving their headquarters from other states to Louisiana because we've got lower taxes, we've reformed our ethics laws, and we've got better skilled, better trained workers thanks to our workforce training program.”
The company says they'll start making the products in Baton Rouge next month.
