Problems at the polls in Walker on Tuesday have some asking for a split precinct.

With more than 2,000 voters in the parish, splitting the precinct would be logical, but it wouldn't be able to be done for the run off election in December.

Some voters in Walker had to wait until nearly midnight on Tuesday to cast their ballot. They say there needs to be a change for the future.

"I would like the to open more polls around, that way it will be more diverse, so everyone spread out so it will be easier voting and things like that," Thomas Lee, voter in Walker, said.

Officials do not expect the crowds to be so large on December 8 for the run off election.
