Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — In Baton Rouge, there are still two undecided seats in the Metro Council that are set to be decided in the December runoff.
In District 2, Chauna Banks-Daniel got 36 percent of the vote, which puts her in a runoff with fellow Democrat Leroy Davis; the former Mayor of Baker picked up 18 percent of the vote.
Eight candidates in all were running for that open seat on the Metro Council.
In District 10, the incumbent, Republican “Smokie” Bourgeois will face fellow Republican John Delgado in a runoff. Bourgeois picked up 41 percent of the vote, while Delgado had 30 percent, narrowly beating out Democrat Rose Carey.
