Session heads into day three

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Healthcare and Education will be the hot topics up for discussion at the Capitol on Wednesday.
The joint committee on the budget will take a closer look at the public-private partnership between the LSU hospital system and our Lady of the Lake.
On the house side, public comment on the governor’s proposed budget and subsequent cuts continues for the second day in a row. The house education committee will also be taking a close look at some of the latest data from the DOE on early childhood education.
A senate committee will also be looking into Senator Dale Erdey’s bill that bans the use of social media while driving. The bill is an expansion of the current law that bans texting and driving.
