People in Louisiana won't just be voting for president in November. There are also nine proposed amendments to the state's constitution.

All of the amendments were passed during the last legislative session, but they require a majority vote from people in the state. They range from Medicaid trust fund for the elderly to individual gun rights, even a new property tax exemption.

This year, as always, the public affairs research council of Louisiana (PAR) has released a guide to all the amendments you'll see on the ballot.

“If you go into the voting booth and see the way these things are worded some of them clearer than others but you'll do yourself a great favor and the people waiting behind you getting into the booth if you prepare ahead of time,” Robert Travis Scott, PAR of Louisiana, said.

PAR is a non-profit, non-partisan organization.
