BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The Metro Council is one step closer to voting on an ordinance making it easier to buy liquor on Sunday.
A Metro Council committee heard the proposal yesterday, but didn't make a motion on it. It now moves to the full council for a vote.
The proposal would get rid of the Blue law in the city-parish that makes buying liquor on Sundays more difficult.
Right now there are time and location restrictions.
