BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) - — Lawmakers in the House and Senate wrap things up no later than 6:00 pm tonight. That's the deadline to wrap this year's session. There's still a lot of work left to do. On that list, merging the 4 cent cigarette tax bill into the Jindal backed Constitutional ammendement helping TOPS.
Lawmakers will also spend their last day approving nearly 400 of Governor Jindal's appointees, and resolving differences on several dozen bills.
