BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Monday will be all about tax credits.
The film industry is expected to be out in force to protest the proposed repeal of certain industry exemptions. There will be a rally early tomorrow morning and the House Ways and Means committee will start discussion of those tax credits at 9:00 a.m.
The committee will also take on the controversial plastic bag tax. The bill proposes adding a $0.05 tax on every plastic bag you use at the grocery store and dedicating it to certain under-funded programs.
