Governor Bobby Jindal certainly made waves when he told his own party Thursday night that they had to stop being the "stupid party," and laid out instead a new plan for the party in years to come.

“We must stop being the stupid party. It's time for a new Republican party that talks like adults. It's time for us to articulate our plans and visions for America in real terms. We had a number of Republicans damage the brand this year with offensive and bizarre comments. We’ve had enough of that,” Jindal remarked to a crowd of Republicans from across the nation Thursday night.

Kirby Goidel, director of LSU's public policy lab, said by making national headlines with those statements Jindal is trying to set himself apart for a possible 2016 presidential run. Political experts have remarked that after losing two presidential elections in a row, there is a need for new leadership within the Republican party.

"You have a vacuum within the party in terms of leadership. Right now Republicans have a vacuum. Who is the go-to person? Bobby Jindal is trying to step in to that and fill that void,” Goidel remarked.

Goidel added that Governor Jindal is already trying to paint himself as a 'Non-Washington' Republican to set himself apart from other possible Republican presidental nominees.

“He's trying to improve his visibility nationally and he's trying to separate himself out from other Republicans who might run. So his comments are clearly different himself from Washington Republicans, Congressional Republicans. The Paul Ryan's, the Marco Rubios,” Goidel commented.

Goidel said Louisiana's string of reform legislation could work for or against Jindal in a presidential bid, depending on the long term results of those legislative reforms.

What gave it away, could it have been his being on the road for months patting backsides with his open arms, and not running the state that elected him as gov. or maybe budding up to each person running for office until they were out of the picture and moving to the next one, or mostly just getting his face pasted everywhere to let the country know who he is for his run at the office in 2016, what gave it away, it sure wasnt for the benifit of Louisiana the state he was elected to run.

I sure as heck hope he doesnt run for anything especially president
