Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Former governor Edwin Edwards was at Southern University tonight, and he told student's what he'd do if he was governor again.

He was invited by southern students and faculty to speak about a wide range of topics, including the job market after graduation, and about how important higher education is.

Edwards said the best asset anyone can have is a quality education.
