Secretary of State Tom Schedler reminds Louisiana voters that Early Voting for the April 6th primary election continues through Saturday, March 30th, EXCLUDING FRIDAY, MARCH 29TH (Good Friday).

Hours of operation for Early Voting are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

“Early Voting is a great opportunity for voters to cast their ballot if they think they may be busy or out of town on Election Day,” said Secretary of State Tom Schedler. “The April 6th election has many local issues and races that are important to communities and their citizens. Make your voice heard, and go vote.”

Thirty-eight parishes are holding elections on April 6th. Those parishes include: Acadia, Allen, Ascension, Beauregard, Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Calcasieu, Catahoula, Desoto, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Evangeline, Grant, Iberia, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, LaSalle, Livingston, Morehouse, Natchitoches, Orleans, Ouachita, Rapides, Sabine, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Tammany, Vermilion, Vernon, Washington, Webster, West Baton Rouge and Winn. (Media in the New Orleans market—please note that the Crescent City Connection toll is on the May 4th ballot, not April 6th.)

Citizens who want to vote early may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters’ Office or at other designated locations.
